Sammers Driving School of Indiana

Thank you for considering Sammers Driving School of Indiana for your driver education instruction. Sammers has been in the business of teaching driver education in the Terre Haute area since 1993 and is now also available in Montgomery County. It is a priviledge we take very seriously and sincerely understand your concern about you or your child's developing safe driving habits and skills.

Sammers Driving School is certified by the state of Indiana and licensed by the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. We use only state certified, professional, experienced instructors. Our goal is to make the roads safer for everyone by helping the beginning driver gain knowledge and confidence necessary to safely perform the driving task for a lifetime of safe driving.

Driver education may be taken as early as age 15, but is not limited to only teens. Adults may choose to take a complete driver education course or may take private lessons if they choose.

In order to complete the State Certified Driving Course students must complete 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of driving instruction. Students who need additonal instruction in the classroom or driving phases of the course may receive that instruction at a discounted rate.

Although we take the business of driver education very seriously, we still strive to make our course as enjoyable and informative as possible. This is achieved through the wide variety of experiences, both in the classroom and in the vehicle, to which our students are exposed. Students will experience every type of driving scenario the Wabash Valley can provide. Additionally, our students are taught through the use of guest speakers, up to date movies, in-class activities, and interesting discussions.

The fee for our course, which includes 6 driving hours and 30 classroom hours, is $350.00. To register for a class, simply fill out an application and return it to our office with a $150.00 deposit. Your investment in our program not only pays for instruction, but can also make the student eligible for better auto insurance rates, and an Indiana Operators License at an earlier age than those who do not take our course.
